Job Description
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process in Xero
- Monitoring financial transactions and reports
- Flagging any unusual or complex transactions to upper management
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- After books are approved, translate the records into the Google Sheets statements provided to each client
- Export account transaction detail monthly to provide to the client.
- Ensure payroll journal entries tie and are processed
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings
- Process monthly and bi-monthly payroll and contractor payments, as applicable in Gusto
- Pull data from multiple sources to add more detailed financial analysis in Google Sheets for clients
- Help identify 1099 recipients and track payments for year-end 1099's
- Prepare and help file year-end 1099s
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping/general accounting experience
- Prior experience with Xero
- Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with Gusto, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
