As a leader in the print industry, John Roberts is looking for qualified and talented individuals to grow our highly recognized, award-winning team. We are currently looking for experienced Bindery Operators to join us.

Available Hours: 1st (6am to 2pm) & 2nd Shift (2 pm to 10 pm)

Job Description

A Bindery Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bindery and finishing equipment including cutters, folder/gluers, folders, and stitchers to produce high-quality printed and packaged materials such as brochures, catalogs, books, cartons, and mailers. This role ensures all products meet customer specifications by following Standard Operating Procedures, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues as needed.

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and folder/gluers.
• Prepare machines and workstations for production, including feeders, folding systems, cutting systems, delivery units, stackers, and inspection areas.
• Configure equipment for various job specifications, ensuring proper alignment, folding, trimming, binding, and adhesion as required.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company standards while following all safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and machine performance.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals, deadlines, and workflow requirements.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to support consistent machine operation.
  
  

Job Requirements

• 5 years of experience operating bindery machinery preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Exceptional precision and attention to detail.
  
  

Pay Range: $25-34/hr *Based on experience*
