Universal Robina Corporation is looking for an Accounting Assistant (Contractual)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant (Contractual) to support our Finance Controllership team in balance sheet reconciliation and account clean-up activities. This role focuses on data matching, documentation, and basic reconciliation work to help improve the accuracy of financial records.

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for an Accounting Assistant (Contractual)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant (Contractual) to support our Finance Controllership team in balance sheet reconciliation and account clean-up activities. This role focuses on data matching, documentation, and basic reconciliation work to help improve the accuracy of financial records.
What are the Job Responsibilities?
- Prepare and update balance sheet reconciliation schedules using standard templates
- Perform data matching and tie-out between subledgers, reports, and supporting files
- Assist in identifying differences and listing reconciling items for review
- Track and monitor aging balances and outstanding items
- Compile and organize supporting documents for reconciliations and audits
- Follow up with internal teams to obtain missing documents or confirmations
- Assist in clearing routine reconciling items (e.g., reclassifications, simple adjustments)
- Maintain reconciliation trackers and status reports
- Updated reconciliation templates for assigned accounts
- List of outstanding/reconciling items with proper support
- Organized documentation for audit and review
- Daily/weekly status updates on assigned accounts
- Graduate of Accountancy, Financial Management, or related course
- Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in accounting or audit is an advantage
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts (debits/credits, balance sheet accounts)
- Proficient in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions
- Type: Contractual / Project-based
- Duration: Based on balance sheet clean-up requirements
- Work Setup: Office-based / hybrid (as applicable)
- Reports to: Finance/Controllership Team
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned reconciliations
- Complete and well-organized supporting documents
- Reduction in open and aged reconciling items
