Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Responsibility – perform repair of all the equipment’s assigned and includes keeping of documentation up to date such as work instructions, maintenance plans, checksheet and calibration records. Work closely with the team and superior to support all activities and programs related to the overall goals of the equipment team and department. Support equipment, transfer qualifications and machine buy-off and ensure full compliance with the operations.
  • Production Support - provide the necessary technical support to sustain efficient operations. Monitor and support the overall performance and effectiveness of all assigned equipment (Machine Availability, PM & Calibration Hit Rate, SPC Monitoring – but not limited to efficiency, productivity, yield and quality).
  • Continuous Improvement - initiates equipment improvements, modifications and cost savings project by using pertinent and credible data to ensure that the objective of the team and department is attained, minimizing equipment breakdown and extending the serviceable life of equipment.
  • Reporting – attend and provide presentation update in weekly engineering or monthly communication meeting when necessary or in the absence of superior.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor, Electronics, Optoelectronics or Fiberoptics Industry. Good product and equipment understanding on target process to support.

Skills

  • Experience with Die Attach (ESEC Micron, Infotech), Wirebonding (Delvotek G5, KNS), Temperature Cycling Chamber, Shear Testing (Dage) and Profile Interferometer.
  • Experienced in C# script development and programming or equivalent language.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Skilled at understanding and analyzing mechanical and electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge in Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance (repair, troubleshooting, training, calibration and PM, etc)
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
  • Hands-on attitude, initiative and resourcefulness, a must
  • Effective team player and possess coordinating skills
  • Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
