We are seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to support a psychiatry practice based in New Jersey. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing patient communications and administrative tasks independently.

We are seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to support a psychiatry practice based in New Jersey. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing patient communications and administrative tasks independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient communications through phone, email, and patient portal.
- Schedule appointments, handle prescription refills, and prepare short letters (e.g., school absence notes, medication forms) for review by the doctor.
- Maintain task lists, follow up on pending items, and remind the doctor of scheduled events.
- Use and maintain the following systems efficiently:
- EHR: CharmHealth
- Communication & Storage: Google Workspace, Google Chat
- Phone System: Vonage
- PDF Editing: DocHub
- Initiate prior authorizations using CoverMyMeds.
- Excellent communication skills clear spoken English, professional tone, and strong grammar for writing and emails.
- Familiarity with psychiatric medications (brand and generic names).
- Understanding of U.S. prescription refill and prior authorization processes is a plus.
- Dependable and organized must be able to manage tasks independently.
- Quick learner with sound judgment and common-sense decision-making.
- Experience working with EHR systems (CharmHealth preferred but not required).
- Location: Remote (Philippines-based applicants welcome)
- Hours: 30 hours per week (Eastern Time Zone)
- Client: Psychiatry practice based in New Jersey
- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro or higher (genuine, 32/64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5 (8th Gen+) or AMD equivalent
- RAM: Minimum 8GB
- Internet: Wired DSL/Fiber, at least 50 Mbps (No LTE connections accepted)
- Headset: USB noise-canceling mic (Plantronics Audio 628 recommended)
- Webcam: HD 720p/1080p (A4Tech PK-910H recommended)
- Monitor: External monitor (17", 19", or 22")
