Video Editor (Region: South Africa / Philippines - Remote)

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who’s passionate about storytelling, social media, and visual impact. You’ll play a key role in bringing our brand to life through high-quality, engaging short-form and long-form video content. This role is perfect for someone who understands how editing, pacing, and visual style can influence engagement and brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and produce compelling video content for multiple platforms, including Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Transform raw footage (e.g., webinars, interviews, marketing clips) into polished, high-impact storytelling videos.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to translate ideas and scripts into engaging visual narratives.
• Ensure brand consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging across all video formats.
• Stay updated on social media trends, editing styles, and emerging video formats to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Optimize videos for performance—testing hooks, captions, thumbnails, and formats to maximize engagement.
• Manage post-production workflows, including sound design, color correction, motion graphics, and file organization.
• Contribute creative ideas for new campaigns, series, and content initiatives that drive audience growth.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in video editing, preferably for digital or social media platforms.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar professional editing tools.
• Strong understanding of social media video formats and best practices for engagement and retention.
• Demonstrated ability to craft engaging short-form content optimized for vertical video platforms.
• Solid grasp of storytelling, pacing, sound, and visual rhythm.
• Knowledge of social algorithms, engagement triggers, and audience behavior is a plus.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, typography, and basic color grading preferred.
• Bonus: Experience with AI video tools (Descript, Runway, Pika, Synthesia, etc.) or animation software.
