Title: U.S. Tax Accountant
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Day Shift (8 am to 5 pm PHT) during the slow season; 4-hour shift on Central Daylight Time (CDT) during the busy season, with the remaining hours flexible.

Job Description:
U.S. Tax Preparation and Compliance
1. Prepare and file U.S. tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) in compliance with applicable US laws and regulations.
2. Implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits.
3. Monitor changes in US tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Provide tax advice and guidance on various tax matters.
5. Assist with US tax inquiries, tax notices, and audits, including preparing documentation.
Bookkeeping
1. Accurately record financial transactions using QuickBooks Online.
2. Monthly bank reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify any discrepancies, ensuring the integrity of the company's financial statements.
3. Maintain the general ledger by accurately posting journal entries and adjustments as needed.
4. Preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss and balance sheet to offer insights into the company's financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
5. Compile and organize financial data for tax purposes, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Administration
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve Firm’s processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
We are looking for:
1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
2. At least 4 years of experience in a public firm, with a senior or supervisory position.
3. U.S. tax preparation and compliance experience is a plus but not required.
4. Experience with Lacerte and QuickBooks Online is a plus but not required.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. A self-motivated learner who is adaptable and receptive to feedback.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a good command of the English language.
Expected hours: 30 to 40 hours per week during the slow season; a minimum of 40 hours per week during the busy season.
