As a Security Analyst, you will help the team in its mission to protect the company’s users. You will demonstrate analytical thinking and make data-driven decisions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Investigate potentially malicious websites and software to understand their behavior and impact on users, including phishing, malware, and social engineering threats
  • Develop basic data analyses using SQL and Python to identify harmful entities, examine trends, pinpoint system vulnerabilities, and gather intelligence on threats targeting websites at scale.
  • Effectively use internal and third-party threat analysis tools to analyze URLs and payloads, and execute multi-stage workflows for malware intelligence collection and customer onboarding.
  • Diagnose detection gaps and root causes, then take appropriate action, and contribute to improving existing systems.
  • Review and classify escalations, manage bug resolution, and communicate effectively with reporters and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaborative problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience in security operations, web content review, or a related analytical support role.
  • Familiarity with interpreting and analyzing data using querying languages (e.g., SQL) and basic scripting concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and workflows accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of common online threats such as phishing, malware, or unwanted software.
  • Basic understanding of how machine learning models are applied in security contexts.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems for task management and status updates.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and related concepts.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively in writing.
  • Proactive approach to learning new tools and adapting to evolving threat landscapes.

Benefits

  • We support you with competitive wages and comprehensive health care including medical, dental and vision coverage
  • We support your family with gender-neutral baby bonding leave, 14 week birth-parent maternity leave, and generous life, accident and disability insurance minimums
  • Employees who work onsite can enjoy free meals and snacks, and fun onsite experiences
