Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Lead – Travel & Expense (T&E) to oversee the daily operations of our T&E team. This role is responsible for driving timely and accurate reconciliation of T&E accounts, resolving delinquencies, monitoring KPIs, preparing reports, and delivering insightful analysis to stakeholders. In addition, you will play a key role in developing team capabilities, coaching team members, and driving process improvements.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Lead – Travel & Expense (T&E) to oversee the daily operations of our T&E team. This role is responsible for driving timely and accurate reconciliation of T&E accounts, resolving delinquencies, monitoring KPIs, preparing reports, and delivering insightful analysis to stakeholders. In addition, you will play a key role in developing team capabilities, coaching team members, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Lead and supervise the T&E team to ensure timely reconciliation of T&E accounts and resolution of outstanding issues and delinquencies.
- Monitor and manage daily workflows, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, providing resolution guidance and process clarifications.
- Define, track, and report on key KPIs related to T&E processes (e.g., policy compliance, aging reports, delinquency rates, reimbursement cycle times).
- Perform periodic analysis of T&E spend and trends; identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular performance dashboards to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performing, collaborative, and engaged team.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, and training sessions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the T&E function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, AP, etc.) to drive improvements and resolve process gaps.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Team Lead or Supervisory role within Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, or similar shared services functions.
- Strong working knowledge of T&E systems (e.g., Concur, SAP, Oracle) and reconciliation processes.
- Proven ability to manage KPIs, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledgeable in Concur, SAP, Excel, Ppt
