TRAVEL ASSISTANT

Job Description:

A travel assistant works with clients to create travel itineraries, secure reservations for transportation and lodging, and ensure any special dietary or medical needs are met. Travel assistants plan and make arrangements, sometimes even accompanying clients if they have special needs necessitating a companion. They manage the day-to-day affairs of travel on behalf of your clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, or relevant field

Minimum experience of 1 year in a similar role

Has knowledge in ticketing and booking system

Excellent sales and interpersonal skills

Can do task switching

Must be computer literate

Is a self-starter and solutions-oriented person

In-depth knowledge of domestic and foreign travel destinations

Willingness to travel around Cebu and neighboring islands

Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively

Outstanding knowledge of the latest tourism trends

Can speak Nihongo is an Advantage

Can start ASAP

Job Tasks & Responsibilities:

Prepare and provide travel itineraries to visitors and travelers

Assist and support the sales team and tour guides in their daily tasks

Perform analysis of travel costs and provide estimates to group or student guests

Oversee the booking of boat and flight tickets and accommodation of the clients

Coordinate with different travel agencies, establishments and companies to ensure smooth business operations

Participate in ocular activities around the island/country

Ensure that visitors and travelers are made comfortable in their accommodation

Ensure that all accreditations, certificates, permits and partnerships are up-to-date

Maintain client information and financial records

Attend seminars to stay up-to-date on tourism trends

Do additional office and admin tasks as directed by the management
