About The Role
As Senior Trade Marketing Manager, you’ll be the engine behind our global in-store and online presence. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Key Accounts across markets to build trade programs that:
- Win space, visibility, and share at retail.
- Strengthen partnerships with our key customers worldwide.
- Turn shoppers into loyal brand advocates.
What You’ll Do
Lead Trade Strategy & Planning:
- Develop annual and quarterly global trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales goals.
- Turn brand strategies into customer-specific initiatives and promotions by market.
- Spot and size growth opportunities by channel, customer, and category across countries.
- Design and roll out visibility, merchandising, promotions, and shopper activation programs in key markets.
- Set clear execution standards and track performance across channels and countries.
- Lead development of effective promo mechanics, and retailer/ distributor's assets, POSM, displays, that stand out on shelf and online.
- Partner with Key Account Managers and Sales to co-create powerful customer plans for global and regional retailers.
- Present trade programs and post-activity reviews to internal stakeholders and key customers.
- Support new product launches with sharp, insight-led activation plans across markets.
- Use category, shopper, and sales data to sharpen strategies and plans by market.
- Track ROI, uplift, and off-take, and recommend smart optimisations.
- Monitor competitors globally and respond with agile, impactful initiatives.
- Coach, develop, and inspire the trade marketing team to high performance.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs, driving ownership, collaboration, and remote ways of working.
- Champion a “test, learn, improve” mindset within the team.
- 5–8+ years’ solid experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG or Pet Food (or closely related categories).
- Proven track record of leading trade programs that delivered measurable business impact (sales, share, distribution, or visibility).
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of retail, distributor, and/or pet specialty channels.
- Experience in regional or multi-market roles is a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen; able to balance brand-building with sales and ROI.
- Confident working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners in a remote, virtual environment.
- Dynamic, hands-on, and a natural marketer – blending creativity with data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working across time zones.
- Global impact, real visibility – Own the trade marketing agenda and see your ideas come to life in-store and online across multiple markets.
- Work from home, work with the world – Collaborate with passionate teams in different countries while enjoying the flexibility of a remote setup.
- Build something meaningful – Help shape how pet parents experience a premium pet food brand they can trust.
- Cross-functional exposure – Partner with regional Sales, Brand, E-commerce, and Supply Chain teams on high-impact projects.
