Job Title Territory Development Leader

Location Las Piñas

Reporting to Area Commercial Sales Manager

Territory Development Leader

This Territory Development Leader is responsible for driving sustainable growth of JTI Brands within an assigned territory by executing strategic plans to expand the consumer base and meet sales targets. The incumbent will lead and develop a team of Territory Representatives and Assistant Territory Representatives (including Sales Drivers, where applicable), fostering capability-building and performance excellence. The role involves close collaboration with Field Marketing (FM), Finance, and People & Culture (P&C) to manage people, controls, and programs while ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Field Coaching and People Management & Development
  • Motivate and guide the team through individual development plans, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct regular field coaching, short trainings, and one-on-one meetings to enhance team competencies and territory development.
  • Manage territory and field force planning to ensure coverage, distribution objectives, and effective team performance.
  • Sales Strategy and Business Development
  • Achieve sales volume, distribution targets, and KPIs within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with ASM and FM teams to create territory-specific sales plans, strategies, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and ensure pricing consistency to secure business advantages.
  • Control and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies on collection, credit efficiency, and accurate customer master data.
  • Conduct regular trade audits, ensure compliance with return policies, and manage disciplinary actions aligned with the Code of Conduct.
  • Monitor and ensure efficient handling of trade returns and maintain a fair disciplinary process.
  • Customer Management (Retailer and Wholesaler)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key wholesalers and retailers through regular visits and business assessments.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with accounts and manage sales performance, ensuring consistent achievement of targets.
  • Provide timely updates on customer requests and complaints to maintain smooth operations.
  • Administrative Work
  • Prepare reports and conduct meetings to align the team with current goals and share best practices.
  • Monitor allocated budgets, POS materials, and ensure proper management of company assets.
  • Sales Information Management
  • Ensure accurate trade census data collection, report compliance, and timely feedback to headquarters.
  • Maintain data integrity within JTI sales systems and ensure full compliance in report submissions.

Requirements

  • University / College degree
  • 2+ years of relevant field sales, distribution, trade marketing experience
  • Good communication skills - Oral and Written (English, Filipino. Other local dialect is an advantage)
  • People management experience, including coaching/mentoring
  • Ability to analyze business situation on the ground and propose improvements
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Good understanding of digital tools, including usage of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Drivers’ license (B2 or higher). We have a program to support qualified women, who do not hold a drivers’ license
