DESIGNATION : Technical Trainer

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing technical training programs for both organic and non-organic technical personnel within the organization. This role involves assessing training needs, designing effective training materials, and delivering hands-on technical training sessions. The Trainer will need to be flexible and adaptive to the continuous evolution of systems, technologies, and processes within the organization, ensuring all technical staff stay up-to-date with the latest tools and methodologies. The Trainer will collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps and provide ongoing training support to ensure technical teams can perform their roles at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver adaptable technical training programs for organic (in-house) and non-organic (contracted or external) technical personnel.
  • Assess training needs across technical teams by collaborating with management and department heads.
  • Design and create training materials, including manuals, presentations, exercises, and assessments, while ensuring flexibility to accommodate frequent updates to systems and technologies.
  • Lead both in-person and virtual training sessions, providing hands-on learning experiences that reflect real-time system changes and updates.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective.
  • Recommend and promote best practices, industry standards, and technical approaches that support system updates and new technology integrations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance reviews, adjusting content as needed to align with evolving systems.
  • Develop and manage an ongoing training schedule that incorporates regular updates and revisions based on system changes.
  • Track and report on training success, gather feedback from trainees, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and the latest system standards.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new technical employees, providing them with training on current systems and technologies as well as anticipating upcoming updates.


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical training or instructional role, ideally in a technical or IT-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training programs that can adapt to frequent system and technological changes.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of technical systems, processes, and tools relevant to the organization's operations, with the flexibility to quickly learn and teach new systems and technologies.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to personnel at varying skill levels.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging and flexible training materials that can be rapidly updated or modified in response to system changes.
  • Experience in delivering training through multiple formats, including classroom, virtual sessions, and hands-on workshops.
  • Skilled in using e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other training tools to support ongoing education.
  • Ability to evaluate and assess training effectiveness, ensuring employees are effectively applying new knowledge and skills.
  • Strong adaptability to work with evolving technologies, quickly adjusting training content to reflect system upgrades, patches, or changes.
  • Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments where system updates and process changes are frequent.

Desirable:

  • Knowledgeable and with hands-on experience on Fiber Optics Technology

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programs and updates simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail in tracking training progress and ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Proactive in identifying emerging training needs and adjusting programs to address them.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address training gaps and challenges as they arise.
