TECHNICAL PROCUREMENT OFFICER
- Directly responsible and reporting to the Procurement Head
- General function is to source out and procure applicable material/services, tool repairs and calibration, ensuring its cost effectiveness in parallel with established quality and safety standard/mandates
Role Functions and Responsibilities
- Sending Request for Quotation (RFQ) and sources for, maintains reliable sources of suppliers and services immediately upon receipt of requisition from end-user or other stakeholders (P
- R).Ensures that specifications or configurations indicated by users are complied with by suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiates for best terms or price to suppliers and conditions favorable to the company.
- Ensures that all requirements for A320CEO, A320NEO, A321NEO, A330CEO, A330NEO & ATR72-500 & 600 fleet (AOG, ADD, Tools, C&E and Stock replenishments) are process properly and services required are delivered on time at the proper location (using AMOS system). Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers.
- Ensures that all transactions are properly documented for on time payment processing.
- Conducts annual performance evaluation of suppliers and service providers.

Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors for MRO goods and services.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products/services.
Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's operational.
Technical Expertise:
- Understand the technical specifications of MRO items, including machinery parts, tools, equipment, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure accurate understanding of technical requirements.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of MRO items and optimize inventory control to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory.
- Implement efficient inventory replenishment strategies, such as just-in-time ordering.
Cost Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor negotiation, bulk purchasing, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Work with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of procurement costs.
Compliance:
- Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Keep updated with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
Data Analysis:
- Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for improvement.
Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, engineering, and finance, to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on procurement status, potential issues, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical understanding of MRO products and equipment.
- Negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and procurement software/tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
