TECHNICAL ENGINEER (Water Operations)

Operations and Maintenance

- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the water system in the assigned branch.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for water systems and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

-Conduct regular inspections of water infrastructure, promptly identifying and addressing any potential issues or inefficiencies.

-Responsible for timely and correct implementation of forms, checklists, and monitoring.

-Ensure the timely and accurate implementation of planned preventive maintenance activities.

-Evaluate the accuracy of data from checklists, forms, and monitoring. Propose appropriate preventive and corrective actions as needed.

-Apply engineering principles to ensure that the water system assets and equipment are always safe and in good operating condition, thereby ensuring zero major equipment breakdown and maximum uptime of all facilities.

- Ensure that power and meter readings are accurately conducted as scheduled.

- Acts as liaison to all external groups covering the local barangay, utility companies, and local and city governments covering technical matters.

System Design and Implementation

- Collaborate with IDD and CMD to design and review the water system plans tailored to the specific needs of the new projects.

- Oversee and monitor the installation and commissioning of water-related infrastructure, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management and Compliance

- Assess potential risks associated with water operations, including leaks, contamination, and supply disruptions, and develop mitigation plans to address these risks effectively.

- Implement emergency response protocols to handle water-related incidents and minimize their impact on the project.

- Evaluate and make recommendations on reported maintenance problems, safety hazards, and any related concerns in the estate's facilities, amenities, equipment, and machinery.

-Ensure compliance with all safety requirements mandated by law.

Documentation and Reporting

- Secure pertinent engineering licenses and operational permits.

- Responsible for storing As-built Plans, Operational Manuals, Service Level Agreements (SLA), and other relevant documents.

- Maintain accurate water usage records, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance efforts.

-Prepare regular reports summarizing key performance indicators, challenges, and accomplishments related to water operations.

Client and Tenant Relations

-Collaborate with project stakeholders, homeowners, property administrators, and utility providers to address water quality, availability, and service delivery concerns.

-Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on water-related initiatives and address any inquiries or issues that may arise.

-Respond to consumers' technical concerns regarding their water connections, proactively ensuring consumers are satisfied with the water services.

Vendor Management

-Coordinate the bidding of the service contractors, supervise their service performance, and ensure their delivery of satisfactory services without compromising standard, quality, and agreed-on SLA.

Financial Management

-Provide inputs in preparing the annual budget, ensuring all possible aspects of water operations are covered.

-Meet the operating budget covering the technical requirements set in the OPEX for repairs & maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.

Sustainability

-Implement strategies to optimize water usage, such as installing water-efficient fixtures and implementing recycling or rainwater harvesting systems.

-Monitor water consumption patterns and identify opportunities for conservation and efficiency improvements.
