Job Description
The Pre-Sales Consultant specializes in gathering requirements and evaluating the scope of work during the initial stages of the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for drafting the scope of work, defining activities, and estimating the manpower required to deliver the project. The Pre-Sales Consultant leads solution demonstrations, ensures that all necessary information is collected early in the process, and manages proposal documents and templates.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Scoping
Collaborate with clients to gather detailed project requirements and understand their business objectives.
Evaluate the scope of work, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
Develop comprehensive documentation outlining the scope of work, activities, and manpower requirements.
Solution Demonstration and Communication
Lead client conversations during solution demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of proposed solutions.
Ensure all necessary information is collected during the early stages to inform solution design and project planning.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-sales phase, addressing questions and concerns.
Proposal Management
Create and maintain proposal documents, templates, and related materials to ensure consistency and quality.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Technical Architects and Project Managers, to develop accurate and compelling proposals.
Ensure that all proposals are tailored to client needs and comply with organizational standards.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with sales teams to align pre-sales activities with business development strategies.
Coordinate with implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to project execution.
Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on client requirements and market trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in pre-sales consulting, business analysis, or a related role.
Strong understanding of solution scoping, proposal writing, and client engagement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead client conversations effectively.
Proficiency in creating and managing proposal documents and templates.
Familiarity with CX platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce, Genesys) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
