The Concur Travel & Expense Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the T&E function, ensuring compliance with corporate travel and expense policies, and optimizing the use of SAP Concur. This role involves managing a team of T&E specialists, supporting end-users, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely expense reporting and reimbursement.

Position Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of T&E specialists to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Allocate tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure timely processing of expense reports and travel requests.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
- Work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, and other departments to align T&E processes with organizational goals.
- Provide training and support to employees and managers on T&E policies and system usage.
- Prepare and present reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Concur, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Partner with IT and Concur Support to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
- Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Enforce adherence to corporate travel and expense policies.
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to support audits and implement corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement policy updates based on industry best practices and business needs.
- Manage the end-to-end T&E process using SAP Concur, including expense report auditing, policy compliance, and reimbursement.
- Ensure timely resolution of employee inquiries and escalations related to travel and expenses. Monitor
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- At least 2 to 3 year(s) working experience in Finance or Procurement with working experience related to expense report audit, reconciliation, and Financial reporting and with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Bachelor’s degree concentrating in Accounting or Finance; CPA is an advantage
- Certificate in Procurement is an asset.
- Willing to work on a midshaft.
- Familiarity with large scale company systems, database and reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented attitude
- Exceptional multitasking skills with an aptitude to make the right decision on competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with MS excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and problem-solving capability
- Attentive to details and quality, well-organized, innovative and result driven
- Self-starter with high level of initiative
- Exercises good judgment, highly analytical
