Job Description

The Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate computation of tax liabilities and full compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and reportorial requirements for Globe and its subsidiaries.

Tax Compliance

• Ensure proper computation of tax liabilities of Globe and subsidiaries
• Ensure Group is compliant with applicable tax laws, rules and regulations
• Ensure compliance of BIR reportorial & administrative requirements
• Handle special projects as may be delegated by Tax Head
  
  
  

Tax Planning

• Help design and implement tax planning program
• Help identify tax planning opportunities
  
  
  

Tax Advocacy

• Handle BIR investigations and audits
• Handle business projects involving consultation / coordination with BIR
• Draft position paper on certain tax issues as may be directed by Tax Head
  
  
  

Tax Advisory

• Handle specific tax issues raised by group personnel
• Research proper tax treatment of transactions referred to the team
• Address tax queries from subscribers and vendors
• Local Tax
• Address local tax issues and handle tax compliance.
• Handle BIR and permit requirements of business centers/stores.
• Properties monitoring and databases;
• Work with Technical and Fixed Assets for a complete database of cellsites/network facilities database
  
  
  

Projects

• Open in handling automation and process change projects;
• Open in Accounting/Finance related tasks as needed
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have 7-10 years experience in Taxation and Audit
• MOST CPA board passer
• Must have at least 3-4 experience in a reputable Audit Firm
• Must have an experience in BIR Audit
• Willing to work in a Hybrid Set up
• Willing to Work in a fast paced environment
