The Tax Compliance Manager is responsible in providing assistance for the over-all monitoring and management of taxation matters such as tax compliance, tax accounting, planning and advisory and tax advocacy. Ensure the delivery of full range taxation services in compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining best practices and installation of continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the tax compliance process for the entire company, including subsidiaries and other offices
- Ensure all tax filings and payments are submitted accurately and on time (Local and National)
- Develop and implement internal controls to minimize tax risks
- Prepare the organization for tax audits and interacting with auditors
Tax Expertise
- Stay updated on tax law changes and their impact on the company
- Analyzing tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities
- Collaborating with tax advisors and accountants
Leadership and Management
- The Tax Compliance Manager will lead a team of tax professionals, which may include senior associates and analysts
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Additional Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements relevant to tax calculations
- Managing other areas of compliance, such as sales tax or unclaimed property
- Researching and applying for tax benefits or exemptions
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in tax, accounting, or compliance roles
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Experience in managing a team or leading projects
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting systems
