Job Description
The Tax Compliance Associate II is responsible for ensuring that the organization is kept abreast on the existing laws and updates on tax, as well as for checking and monitoring compliance to these regulations as applicable to the organization.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Transfer pricing experience is a plus.
Experienced in tax assessment, tax return preparations, tax compliance review engagements.
Provide comprehensive, timely performance reviews and give specific and balanced feedback.
Develop and maintain favorable relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
Stay abreast of new tax developments and understand their link to and impact on the business of the client
Handle multiple projects and duties simultaneously
Deals with relevant government agencies and offices as necessary
Prepare well-organized draft work products that require little re-work
Perform various computations and verifications of documents, data and other information
Analyze relevant issues and anticipate possible client responses before presenting questions to the client
Apply technical tax law with the appropriate level of supervision
Gathers data from interviews with client personnel or from other sources
Study client history and understand the client needs
Perform specific steps as stated in work programs and prepares appropriate work papers to document the procedures done
Qualifications
Conducted tax compliance review/health check and due diligence review
Preparation and/or review of documents, reconciliation and letter-reply related to tax assessments and refunds of clients
At least two years of related experience in a public accounting firm such as:
Certified Public Accountant
Preferred Qualifications
Meticulous attention to details Ability to communicate, establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues Ability to work with tight deadlines and without close supervision Prepared to work long hours in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other spreadsheets
