Set up: Hybrid, 1 day WFH, 4 days on-site (MON-FRI)

Reports to: Compliance Management Division Head

Supervises: Systems and Methods Officer

Job Purpose:

The Systems and Methods Department Head is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of business processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with the bank's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Planning and Direction Setting

  • Lead business process management initiatives using structured project methodologies.
  • Identify areas for improvement and redesign processes with a focus on digitalization to support business strategies.
  • Present analysis, solutions, and business cases to internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to develop recommendations on functional and technological advancements.


B. Business Process Management

  • Oversee the implementation of business process improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate and redesign existing business processes, ensuring compliance with BSP regulations and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and non-value activities to streamline processes.
  • Initiate process enhancements to improve service quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain and update the process inventory, keeping it relevant and comprehensive.
  • Facilitate updates to manuals, policies, guidelines, work instructions, and other bank documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business process requirements and ensure alignment with systems and technology.


C. Management Leadership

  • Recommend departmental plans, programs, budgets, and performance targets.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to maximize employee productivity.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of direct reports, providing guidance for career advancement.
  • Approve and schedule vacation leaves for direct reports.


D. Training and Development

  • Create materials and conduct training sessions to ensure proper understanding and implementation of improved processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for teams in the application of new processes.


E. Other Duties

  • Actively participate in staff meetings, training programs, and other professional development activities.
  • Make recommendations on operational improvements and assist with related tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferably Industrial Engineering or similar).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business process management, ideally within banking or financial institutions.


Working Conditions:

  • Office-based: 85%
  • Fieldwork: 15%
