Job Description:

Software Tester is responsible in tests case design and test execution for software usability. Tester will perform the tests, analyze the output & report issues or bugs to the development team. Tester interacts with the counterpart to understand the product requirement and for better test case design. Testers are results driven, has good communication skills for report preparation, and up-to-date knowledge of the product /design or software programs.

• Performs Integration, Regression, AdHoc, Guerilla, Certification and Compatibility Testing
• Maintains and creates troubleshooting guides
• Creates test plan based on product or software requirements
• Reports test results and issues found during testing
• Creates/open JIRA report if there are issues found
• Creates issue or bug tracker for every project release
• Verifies issue when developers provide a fix
• Be able to verify issue in any available OS platforms (Windows and Linux)
• Be able to verify issue in all available utilities, firmware, device, and previous build releases
• Provides support to developers when replicating or investigating an issue or bug
• Spearhead test cases among members when assigned to project lead role
• Creates test document every project release and promote it to PLM Merlin
• Creates automation tools for applicable cases
• Provides test strategies to improve test implementation
• Can provide software and hardware troubleshooting
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Services) or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant or related experience in software black box testing is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Able to communicate effectively, adapt to changing requirements, and provide frequent status updates to the Manager.
• Experience with one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 7/10/11 and Linux OSes.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail with the capability of working towards tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.
  
  

Nice to have:

• 5+ years work experience in related position.
• Experience in Atlassian Tools like JIRA & Confluence.
• Experience in test cases and scripts creation.
• Performance management exposure & analysis are a plus.
• Root-cause analysis (RCA) experience is a plus.
• Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, & Lean Six Sigma) exposure is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in software development and testing concepts and methodology is a plus.
