To support the efficient procurement, delivery, and logistics of materials and equipment for dams and hydropower projects while ensuring adherence to HSE policies, project schedules, and quality standards. This role bridges engineering understanding with supply chain execution to optimize technical purchasing and contractor engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure supply chain processes comply with HSE standards
- Work with vendors to meet site safety criteria
- Conduct HSE risk assessments in procurement
- Integrate safety clauses in contracts
- Attend HSE planning meetings for logistics
- Track supplier compliance with contract terms
- Monitor certifications and approvals for materials/equipment
- Conduct supplier audits
- Assist in resolving compliance deviations
- Maintain records of audits and approvals
- Orient suppliers and contractors on project-specific safety policies
- Share lessons learned from past supply issues
- Promote awareness of safe handling and logistics
- Support team in supply-related HSE toolboxes
- Provide feedback to HSE team
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams for timely material delivery
- Align procurement schedules with project timelines
- Serve as supply chain advisor in progress meetings
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and engineers
- Resolve on-site delivery or logistics issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related
- Professional certification in procurement
- 5+ years of experience in engineering projects (preferably hydro/dams)
- 2+ years of procurement or supply chain responsibilities
- Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle
- Knowledge of construction materials, logistics, and specifications
- Strong negotiation and vendor engagement skills
- Willing to work onsite in project office
