Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing logistics operations within our multinational medical device and pharmaceutical company. This role supports the Head of Supply Chain Management in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency in the logistics operations, ensure on time and complete delivery of orders, minimize costs, and maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, help manage logistics vendor relationships, and drive Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives in the 3PL operations to help deliver the business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with business goals, addressing key result areas such as logistics cost reduction, process efficiency improvements, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings, such as negotiating better deals with vendors, optimizing transportation routes, and reducing inventory holding costs.
  • Develop strategies to enhance supply chain agility and responsiveness to market changes and implement robust risk management plans.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time, and improve quality.
  • Explore the use of advanced technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, etc.) to streamline logistics processes and enhance process efficiency.
  • Establish logistics key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain activities and track the progress of goals achievement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in Logistics operations and regularly review and refine supply chain strategies based on performance data.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Evaluate logistics vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.
  • Implement and maintain a quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify trends.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and dashboards to track metrics such as order fill rates, on-time delivery, and cost savings.
  • Prepare management reports to drive decision-making and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous learning within the supply chain organization.
  • Develop and mentor supply chain team members, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Lead by example and exemplify the company's core values and leadership principles in all interactions.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements relevant to the medical device and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations on supply chain performance, initiatives, and challenges.
  • Solicit feedback and input from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and maintain alignment with organizational goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related fields
  • 15 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with managerial experience.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain software
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
