As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the revenue accounting function, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and driving process improvements across the Order-to-Cash cycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with locating, extracting, and depositing quotes, end-user MSAs, and reseller agreements for closed deals in designated folders; follow up on missing or unlocated contracts.
  • Review and extract contract terms that may impact revenue recognition, escalating non-standard terms to the reporting manager for further review.
  • Support preparation of contract review checklists to ensure compliance with ASC 606 requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly revenue schedules and disclosure reporting requirements.
  • Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits by providing documentation and responses to external auditor requests.
  • Participate in system and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance by preparing documentation for internal controls around the Order-to-Cash cycle and revenue recognition; participate in SOX testing as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to clarify contractual terms and support special projects.
  • Provide support on special projects and other revenue-related initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience. 3+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting with a solid understanding of ASC 606 requirements (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Related experience in the software industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is strongly preferred.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under general supervision.
