About The Role

Our Talent Acquisition Specialists take on a role that facilitates our ability to attract and source the talent and capability to deliver on Orica’s business strategy. With a planned approach to sourcing and hiring talent, we aim to attract the right mix of skills, attitudes, and abilities for Orica.

Our Talent Acquisition Specialists are responsible for sourcing and guiding candidates throughout the entire talent acquisition process, ensuring a positive candidate experience and a seamless hiring manager experience.

The role will work very closely with our India-based stakeholders and will be supporting other countries in Asia as needed.

What you will be doing

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment including talent pooling based on the regional sourcing strategy.
  • Proactively build pipelines and manage passive candidates in critical talent segments;
  • Manage all steps of the talent acquisition process including attraction, sourcing, screening, selection, assessment, job offer and keep warm strategy prior onboarding
  • Provide advice on sourcing and candidate attraction strategies, partnering with HRBP’s and business leaders;
  • Support and advise business stakeholders on the assessment & selection framework, encouraging equitable hiring decisions;
  • Execute targeted campaigns and projects in response to business needs;
  • Measure and track sourcing channel effectiveness targeted at talent segments, developing a personalized approach;
  • Have a passion for diversity and inclusion, ensuring we remove unconscious bias from our hiring process.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 6 years’ of demonstrated Talent Acquisition experience, in the IT, shared services, mining or heavy industry/high-risk industries;
  • Agnostic in portfolios – meaning you are comfortable to recruit any type of roles and is able to adapt quickly with the needs of our stakeholders in Asia
  • Highly executional and proactive approach in recruiting
  • Proven track record in proactively partnering with hiring managers/stakeholders to provide seamless hiring manager experience
  • Experience in continuous improvement and proactive approach to resourcing solutions
  • Ability to plan, influence & execute in an agile manner
  • An interest in working on a cross-functional basis – able to accept new challenges in supporting job requisitions to be hired within Asia
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills – clear thought process and good comprehension
