Spare parts Controller

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares requisition of maintenance materials and supplies.

• Assures completed activities are acceptable to serviced section’s requirements.

• Participates in the prevention and control of his work center’s waste in supplies, energy, manpower, and overhead costs.

• Completes inventory information and presents it to management for efficient decision making which may involve restocking.

• Spare parts management and maintains an adequate minimum level of parts to ensure uninterrupted supply to operate.

• Establishes and controls stocking levels for parts and equipment through a computerized inventory system

• Performs periodic cycle counts and conducts physical inventory audits

• Prepares purchase orders for purchases of parts and equipment

• Receives and unpacks parts by verifying accuracy of shipment from vendor, parts numbers, and quantities.

• Receives, tags, stocks, and disburses parts to technicians according to policy and procedure.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the stock room; performs routine housekeeping duties in the parts room, shop and work area.

• Maintains and keeps current Material Safety Data Sheets and SDS log.

• Investigates and reconciles inventory reports.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream; engineering and technical knowledge would be an added advantage.

• Has higher knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• With good oral and written communication skills.

• Root Cause Analysis and Basic Problem Solving Technique

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
