Job Description
The Solutions Architect role is essential in designing and overseeing the implementation of both custom and commercial IT solutions on Microsoft Azure. This position entails collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluating various technology options, and guiding development teams in creating scalable, secure, and efficient systems. The architect ensures seamless integration of these solutions with existing applications, fostering innovation while maintaining alignment with organizational goals. By leveraging a deep understanding of cloud technologies and best practices, the Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in driving successful project outcomes and enhancing overall system performance.
The Successful Applicant
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Over 5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect role, ideally within the oil and gas sector, along with 5+ years in a software engineering or comparable position.
- Proficient in designing and implementing cloud solutions utilizing a diverse range of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database, among others.
