As a Software QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products and services. You will execute manual test cases, identify bugs, and collaborate with development teams to improve user experience. This role is pivotal in upholding high standards of product delivery while aligning with business goals and fostering a culture of teamwork.
Your Daily Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases based on functional specifications and user stories, and report bugs clearly and accurately
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback
- Identify, record, and document bugs or issues using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Browserstack)
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Re-test resolved issues and verify bug fixes
- Perform regression, smoke, functional, UI/UX, and exploratory testing across platforms
- Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution
- Maintain detailed logs of test results and communicate findings clearly
- Review and provide feedback on product documentation and requirements
- Assist in maintaining and improving QA processes and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
- Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to query databases is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of web and/or mobile application testing
- Experience using tools like JIRA, Postman, and Browserstack
- Exposure to test case management tools
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and SQL
- Accurate and timely reporting of bugs and issues
- High test case execution and coverage rates
- Improved product quality and customer satisfaction
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
