About The Role (your Why)

The Software Engineer is responsible for applying effective analysis, design, programming, and testing skills to produce software systems, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI and Automation.

This role involves contributing to the technical direction of projects while also ensuring the smooth operation of our current system through proactive support and leveraging automation.

Our ideal candidate is adaptable and excels at managing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Solid technical background and experience with C#, .NET Framework & .NET Core, and SQL Server
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems, using AI tools to reduce manual effort
  • Apply AI/ML tools to enhance development workflows—automating testing, code generation, and support tasks
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems through automation and performance tuning
  • Analyse project and software requirements and deliver high-quality code aligned with company standards
  • Experienced in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks such as Blazor, ReactJS, or AngularJS
  • Work in agile environments and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery
  • Challenge existing engineering, product, and delivery practices and propose better ways of working



Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years’ experience working on IT projects across multiple phases of the SDLC.
  • Recent C# .NET experience and at least 3 years development experience in . Net
  • Strong understanding in software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles and object-oriented programming
  • You will be confident in developing and mentoring in C#.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management using tools such as Git.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented frameworks.
  • Understand AI/ML concepts and demonstrate experience applying AI tools or techniques to generate code, drive test generation, code reviews and optimise SDLC workflows.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and propose innovative solutions, including Automation and AI, to improve efficiency and reduce support workload.
  • Good business experience and understanding across several industries helping reshape parts of business to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Ability to implement complex features and unit tests and fix complex bugs.
  • Ability to lead more junior developers and provide guidance on best practices, design patterns. Leadership or pair programming experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on helping create cohesive, collaborative and productive virtual teams.
  • Good conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and pick up new technologies.
  • Team player, who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively handle issues.
  • Ability to personally manage tasks and follow through.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure.
