The SMSF Auditor will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:
- Conducting a thorough audit of the SMSF's financial statements to ensure they present a true and fair view and comply with accounting standards. This includes checking income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Collecting audit evidence to support audit opinion on both the financial and compliance aspects of the SMSF.
- Providing a written audit report to the SMSF trustees, detailing their findings and conclusions on the financial and compliance health of the fund.
- Adhering to relevant auditing and ethical standards issued by professional bodies.
- Communicating any significant issues or concerns identified during the audit.
- Maintaining comprehensive audit documentation to support their findings and conclusions.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
We are looking for an A-star individual, passionate and competent with what they do and bringing the WOW with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years Australian audit experience; preferably has SMSF audit experience but not required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
