Full Time - Shipping Coordinator

Short description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator responsible for coordinating international imports and ensuring compliance with Australian shipping regulations.

Long description:

Reporting to the Shipping Manager and working as part of the Shipping Team, you will experience a dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges.

About the role:

Your day-to-day role will see you working with our suppliers to ensure we are compliant for imports into Australia. Your responsibilities will include:

Illegal Logging

◦ Due Diligence performance on all suppliers and products

◦ Updating the database on the Illegal Logging Policy and Procedure

◦ Supply of Due Diligence paperwork to the government in line with government requirements

◦ Update and continued monitoring of changes in the Illegal Logging space

Setting up new supplier accounts and managing existing supplier accounts

Managing the processing of all Freight Forwarder and DC Wharf Cartage Invoices

Reconciling the Statements of Accounts for all Freight Forwarders and DC Wharf Cartage companies

• Supplier follow up on documentation for clearance in Australia
• Maintaining and monitoring claims with suppliers and carriers
• Regular variance reporting and supplying updates to key stakeholders.
• Monitoring delayed vessels through regular container update reports to DCs
• Monitoring Inbound Container movements and ensuring containers are dehired within contractual time periods
• Monitoring Inbound container volumes per DC and reporting on these figures
• Customs Duty Processing Liaising between internal teams to support the overall movement of containers and orders.
• Order Performance to ensure that all orders are booked within the Shipping Window

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience within the shipping/freight/logistics industry is highly regarded

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work within strict timelines
• Proven computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects
• Meticulous attention to detail and is calm under pressure
• Customer-focused and results-driven
