Settlement Officer (AU Mortgage, WFH)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

As a Settlement Officer, you will play a vital role in the end-to-end mortgage process, ensuring the smooth and accurate completion of loan settlements. This role requires strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with lenders, brokers, clients, and solicitors to ensure a seamless settlement experience.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of the Australian mortgage and settlement process.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with loan processing systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ApplyOnline, Mercury).
• Sound understanding of compliance, credit policies, and banking procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Background in mortgage administration, lending, or financial services preferred.
• Experience working with Australian lenders, aggregators, or broker networks advantageous.
• Knowledge of property settlement procedures and state-specific regulations highly regarded.
  
  

What will you do?

• Manage and oversee the entire settlement process, ensuring all loan documents and requirements are accurately prepared, verified, and completed within established timelines.
• Review and confirm the accuracy of loan contracts, mortgage documents, identification checks, and settlement instructions in compliance with lender and legal requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact between brokers, lenders, clients, and conveyancers to ensure all parties are updated and aligned throughout the settlement process.
• Ensure all settlements adhere to internal policies, lender guidelines, and Australian legal and compliance standards, including verification of identity (VOI) and responsible lending obligations.
• Identify and promptly resolve discrepancies or issues that could delay settlement, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail under time-sensitive conditions.
• Update CRM systems, settlement trackers, and internal databases to reflect accurate loan progress and settlement outcomes.
• Assist with disbursements, final confirmations, and post-settlement follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and accurate recordkeeping.
