- Carry out daily jobs as assigned by immediate superior.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of safe work practices and procedures by all employees and, where engaged, contractors.
- Reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians/service engineers.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians/service engineers are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Evaluate training needs of all Service Engineers/Technicians
- Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians/service engineers.
- Maintain high quality of service delivered by EPIROC under all circumstances by evaluating customer satisfaction and take corrective criteria when required.
- Follow instructions given in scope of works in service job/quotations/contracts.
- Implement correct working method, use the correct tool, and obey safety rules.
- Write reports on jobs done on the service Job Order form or Technical Report, recommend, and follow up actions including the needed spare parts, if necessary.
- Explain to customer if any follow up or repair job needs to be done.
- Feedback to onsite Immediate Superior on required follow-up actions.
- Maintain satisfactory cleanliness at equipment and surrounding area after service job is done.
- Compile monthly report to EPIROC and the client. Ensure monthly reports on Service operations are regularly reviewed and submitted and any deviations are addressed immediately.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving maintenance operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Report and conduct investigation into all instances of service failure / nonconformance and recommend action to be taken to prevent recurrence. With approval from the Manager, initiate remedial action.
- Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of all EPIROC mine equipment. Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering courses.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in technical troubleshooting, heavy equipment maintenance.
- Technical knowledge related to preventive maintenance of heavy equipment, knows how to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Mature with strong self-discipline and demonstrate leadership example at all times
- Able to work in stressful environment
- Fully committed to achieve and complete goals with good result.
- Ability to work and guide a team of people.
