Job Summary
The Server is the face of the restaurant, delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. You’ll be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, making recommendations, and ensuring that each guest feels welcome and satisfied. You’ll work closely with the kitchen staff and your fellow servers to make sure service runs smoothly, creating an enjoyable dining atmosphere for everyone.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and provide menus, answering any initial questions they may have about the menu, daily specials, or beverages.
- Offer recommendations on food and drink pairings, paying attention to guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring clear communication with both guests and kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, checking back with guests to ensure they’re satisfied with their meals.
- Refill drinks, clear plates, and attend to any guest needs throughout their dining experience.
- Handle complaints or special requests professionally, working to ensure guests leave happy and with positive impressions.
- Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout the shift — from clean linens and polished silverware to neatly arranged glasses.
- Clear and reset tables quickly after guests leave, maintaining a clean and inviting environment.
- Use the restaurant’s POS (Point of Sale) system to enter orders, process payments, and manage tabs accurately.
- Handle both cash and card payments, ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly and guests receive the right change or receipts.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that orders are correct, timely, and delivered smoothly.
- Support other servers and assist with tasks like food running, beverage service, or restocking when needed.
- Stay informed about the menu, including all food and drink offerings, preparation methods, ingredients, and specials.
- Be able to describe dishes and beverages in detail, making thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest’s experience.
- Follow all health and safety standards, ensuring food and beverages are handled properly.
- Maintain cleanliness in your work area and report any issues with equipment, safety, or cleanliness to the manager.

Prerequisites For The Job
- Previous experience in a server or similar role is preferred, but not always required. Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and great people skills are what really count.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen to guest requests and relay them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and focused on creating an enjoyable dining experience for each guest.
- Multitasking: Able to juggle multiple tables and tasks in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing service quality.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring that orders are correct and delivered as expected, paying close attention to guest preferences.
- Teamwork: Works well with others, supporting the team and collaborating effectively to provide seamless service
