We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Vice President, Multinationals and International Subsidiary Banking.

The jobholder will support the local operations of important HSBC relationships headquartered overseas.

In this role, you will:

• Focus on business development with a strong emphasis on acquiring new corporate client relationships
• Formulate and implement strategy to drive growth within allocated industry sectors
• Build relationships with external industry stakeholders (chambers of commerce, government bodies, industry associations, etc…) to help build HSBC’s external profile and gather market intelligence
• Leverage the HSBC network and deal teams to drive client specific account strategies and bring value to our client base
• Maximize customer value from an existing portfolio of Wholesale Banking relationships and identify areas to deepen relationships
• Action the highest level of customer due diligence to safeguard against financial crime risks
• Produce quality credit proposals and take the lead to secure approvals in conjunction with the Bank’s underwriting team.Responsible for monitoring credit risks and initiating timely action to protect the bank from potential losses
• Contribute to wider functional initiatives as assigned from time-to-time to contribute to the wider success of Wholesale Banking and Subsidiary Banking strategies

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven business development track record with wholesale banking clients
• Analytical ability to facilitate the structuring of credits, able to put up quality credit packages and take the lead in securing credit approvals
• Possess solid knowledge in banking products including across transaction banking including cash, trade and foreign exchange
• Dynamic and forward thinking with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English
