The Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications is a key partner to various business groups across the organization – providing strategic internal communications that drive alignment, engagement, and business impact. This role leads messaging strategy, content creation, and campaign planning for internal initiatives — from employee programs and policy updates to executive communications and change initiatives.

As part of the Communications & Marketing team, the Senior Specialist focuses on crafting clear, compelling messaging across multiple internal channels, while providing expert guidance to stakeholders. The role also serves as the strategic lead for internal communications channels and oversees campaign execution with the support of a Campaign Specialist.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

Strategic Messaging & Content Development

  • Act as a messaging advisor to business groups and department leaders.
  • Create people-centered messaging aligned with business goals and employee engagement strategies.
  • Draft and edit various content formats: memos, leadership messages, Q&As, scripts, and newsletters.
  • Provide expert guidance on tone, language, and channel use to optimize impact and clarity.

Campaign Planning & Oversight

  • Lead communication planning for internal programs, updates, and operational campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, creatives, and events teams to align messaging and visuals.
  • Oversee campaign execution across internal channels (e.g., MS Teams, intranet, mediaboards, SMS, Purple Page, screensavers).
  • Supervise campaign rollout and ensure timely deliverables in partnership with the Campaigns Specialist.
  • Serve as the strategic lead for internal communications channels—develop channel strategy and oversee messaging consistency, content planning, and execution across platforms (e.g., MS Teams, intranet, mediaboards, screensavers, SMS), in partnership with the Campaigns Specialist.
  • Lead the company’s digital newsletter (currently titled Purple Page)—own content strategy, message alignment, and editorial direction; collaborate with stakeholders and the Campaigns Specialist to curate and finalize content; provide final review and approval for layout and messaging.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build trusted partnerships with executives, department heads, and project teams.
  • Participate in planning meetings, providing communications guidance and support.
  • Serve as a point of contact for communication requests, ensuring timely, aligned, and effective messaging.

Crisis & Rapid Response Communications

  • Lead crisis and urgent communications, delivering clear, timely messaging during system outages, weather disturbances, and other incidents.
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver reassuring and accurate communications in high-stakes scenarios.

Performance Tracking & Improvement

  • Track communication performance and employee engagement using metrics such as open rates, reach, and click-through rates.
  • Use data insights to continuously refine messaging and improve communication effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.

Experience

  • 5 years in internal or corporate communications.
  • Experience supporting diverse business groups such as Operations, Technology, and Corporate Support Services.
  • Strong writing and editing experience for internal audiences.
  • Experience managing communications campaigns and content strategy.

Tools & Platforms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Teams, and digital publishing tools.
  • Familiarity with intranet content management and multimedia communications.
  • Ability to collaborate with design and creative teams to produce supporting materials.

Work Conditions

  • Full-Time, Hybrid Setup
  • 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Manila Time)
