General Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for managing key counterparty trading relationships with institutional treasury partners in DeFi and TradFi and ensure that business relations remain strong. The results from your efforts will directly impact the performance and image of the brand and company with our network of partners.
  • Liaise and maintain communication lines to ensure SLAs are met with market counterparties, crypto market-makers, OTC desks, exchanges, banks, EMIs, MSBs, and other financial institutions from both buy side and sell side. You will spearhead management of the PDAX treasury account facing such entities.
  • Be a thought partner by participating and engaging in high-level discussions regarding strategic partnerships that pioneer initiatives in the digital asset space for PDAX.
  • Help with business development by liaising with partners and enable more treasury capabilities for PDAX.
  • Proactively initiate meetings with appropriate external partners and follow up on business & product opportunities and inquiries by collaborating and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Create and grow strategic and regulatory intelligence and keep up with evolution of regulations (capital/solvency/liquidity) and its influence on the need for specific products.
  • Work with Risk & Compliance to oversee KYC due diligence to cover counterparty credit risks and ensure business operations remain seamless and efficient.
  • Initiate and set up counterparty limits and work together with the Treasury Risk Department on approvals and monitoring.
  • Be responsible for collecting client and sector information. You will manage a database of external counterparty information and a repository of corporate onboarding documentation. The role will coordinate with the different business units including Legal, Ops, Compliance, and BD to ensure relationships and lines are always available and in good standing.
  • Undertake further duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree or equivalent experience ideally with concentration in business, management, finance, economics, communications, or other related fields.

Abilities And Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect/engage with institutional clients and partners from a wide range of markets.
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets, Treasury/Financial Markets is a plus.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and dealing with other stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to help execute broad strategy by prioritizing initiatives and multi-tasking efficiently across multiple work streams.
  • Strong financial analysis background and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive worker with good organization skills and keen attention to detail.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial institutions relationship coverage.
  • With relationship management/institutional sales experience covering various FIs.
  • Familiarity with Institutional KYC and EDD processes.
  • Experience in negotiations for legal financial agreements is a plus but not required.
  • Preferably Subject matter expert specializing in Crypto/Treasury/Financial Markets, and Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.
