The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Medical Affairs Manager to join our Philippines Medical Affairs team on a full time basis. The role is responsible for providing a targeted medical plan together with its associated budget management aligned with both Brand and Medical objectives, establishment of good professional working relationship with advisory board members and select Key Opinion Leaders. This office-based position should have a pro-active approach to business strategy, productive way to get the job done and predictive thinking on how to be a strategic partner. The Sr. Medical Affairs Manager should be capable of representing the Philippines affiliate as a credible and valued representative of medical affairs to various internal and external stakeholders in the country.

Key Accountabilities And Performance Indicators Include
- Execute a well targeted and robust medical plan and budget aligned with both Brand and Medical Objectives. Review on a monthly basis of the medical affairs financials/ accruals
- Work cohesively with the marketing team to develop country medico-marketing strategies and ensure implementation of medical plan for new launches as well as existing portfolio.
- Timely processing, review and approval of medical events and sponsorships, review of modules prepared by speakers and advisory board members, timely review of promotional and medical materials – in print and digital
- Perform regular and extensive literature reviews; develops presentations and assists in medical communications as often as required;
- Assist in internal and external scientific disease state and product trainings
- As the Local iNova Philippines PV and Drug Safety Officer and work closely with the Global Patient Safety and Risk Management team - key role in managing the reporting and management of adverse events and adverse drug reactions in accordance with the company’s SOP and local regulatory requirements and to oversee overall local safety assessment, evaluation and risk management of products or product groups for iNova Philippines.
- Involved in all local safety surveillance activities and communication and management of local vendor and agency where applicable.
- Participate as a member in regular meeting with the GPRM team.
- Engage and develop Key Opinion Leaders
- Engages and manages speakers for iNova sponsored or initiated CMEs
- Responsible for providing medical information Services
- Propose and supervise the organization, implementation and follow-up of clinical studies that are carried out locally
- Closely collaborates with and supports Regulatory Affairs to ensure timely product registration
- Supervise and mentor field-based medical colleagues
- Share external insights /feedback with country and regional medical/marketing team to strengthen internal strategies
- Plan and implement advisory boards as aligned to brand and medical plans
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Regional Medical Director Asia and is an extended member of the AMENA Medical Affairs team to foster closer collaborations with other medical colleagues regionally
- Eligible to be a member of Philippine College of Pharmaceutical Medicine
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
- Candidate should be a medical doctor
- Previous solid work experience as an MSL or Medical Affairs Manager is highly desirable; Previous experience in administrative role in a hospital
- Working knowledge on anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work independently and actively participate as a team member
- Ability to research scientific literature, and have an acceptable level of medical writing to write reports and review papers
- Interpersonal, communication, teaching and presentation skills with expert knowledge of written and spoken English and Filipino
- Effectiveness in building sustained partnerships and working with colleagues and partners in a professional manner
- Good understanding of the industry code of ethics and practice
- Adhere to company values at all times
