The DSM Operations team provides the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data databases. The team spans both the LSE (Equities, Fixed Income and Tradable Funds) and Turquoise venues (part of the London Stock Exchange Group) acting as a first point of contact for customers (both issuers and member firms). The team co-ordinates the production and dissemination of communications to customers and key organisations including Euroclear UK & Ireland, Central Counter Parties, UKLA (United Kingdom Listing Authority) and FTSE Russell. DSM Operations comprises of five functions – Admissions, Controls, LSE Live Service Operations, Corporate Actions and Turquoise Operations – and manages close operational relationships, internally and externally.
Team Description:
The Turquoise Operations team is responsible for the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading across the Turquoise venues, maintenance of instrument data, maintenance of test and production environments, and product configuration. This includes the management of daily updates to internal and customer facing systems as well as ad-hoc requested and planned changes. Furthermore, the team performs live service actions on the Turquoise trading system. This includes halting instruments and markets, performing market recovery and performing ad- hocs actions on behalf of member firms.
The team works on a shift basis with the current service hours between 06:30 and 18.00 UK time.
Role Description:
The Senior Market Analyst reports to an Assistant manager in Turquoise Operations and is responsible for performing live service actions and the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading on Turquoise equities venues. The Senior Analyst will also assist in developing system enhancements in both departmental and business wide projects, and support the Assistant Manager in keeping abreast of all Turquoise developments including regulatory changes and their impact on Turquoise Operation's processes. The Senior Analyst would also be expected to deputise for the Manager and Assistant Manager and represent the team when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the day to day running of core business processes by proactively identifying issues, executing resolutions, and implementing process improvements
- Resolves client queries, escalates high-impact risks and builds relationships and networks with key teams
- Execute team responsibilities efficiently and to schedule, including delivery against KPIs
- Work as, and with, project leads for department and company projects to cover department impacts and the efficient completion to schedule
- Manage and maintain all static and dynamic instrument reference data for the Exchange to operate correctly
- Partner with IT and Sales/Trading on product launches, systems enhancements and development. The team are a key part of the change programme.
- Assist with the resolution of exceptional technical & production issues/incidents.
- Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
- Participation in internal projects focused on process improvement and/or Industry/Regulatory change and product launches
- Understands the internal and external causes and impacts of operational risks, monitoring key risk indicators to proactively identify issues in advance of regulators
- Builds specialist knowledge to analyse complex data and determine and execute resolutions to operational risks in an accurate and timely manner, escalating complex operational risks where expertise is required
- Supports and drives the operational aspects of Change projects as necessary
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Represent the team both internally & externally where appropriate
- Maintaining working relationships with key internal contacts and external organisations
- Manage and minimise operational risks at all times
- UAT testing
- Some weekend and bank holiday coverage required especially for system upgrades and product launches.
- Maintaining instrument reference data and product configuration on Turquoise production platforms including end of day reference data uploads
- Monitoring the health of Turquoise trading platforms
- Performing large scheduled changes on business as usual and a project basis, including the impacts to cash and derivatives markets for quarterly rebalances and the associated product and reference data changes
- Liaising with Admissions, Controls, Live service Operations, Capital Markets Business teams and Market Supervision concerning any unplanned reference data changes
- Maintaining working relationships with key internal contacts and external organisations e.g. CCPs, Technology Relationship Management Technology Product management and development teams
- Impact analysis and support for internal Market Operations Services or LSEG-wide projects, particularly where reference data impacted or data migration required
- Providing support for system releases and weekend testing
