What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Infrastructure Support Specialist ensures prompt resolution of infrastructure related incidents, effective problem management and the stable operation of the Stolt infrastructure across the region. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all existing core infrastructure equipment as well as network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end users’ hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Responsible for providing Level 3 across the region and act as subject matter expert and technical team lead to all level 2 Engineers in the respective region.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve incident and problem tickets within defined service level agreements.
• Maintain regional site infrastructure including server hardware and associated operating systems and software, file, e-mail, print and backup servers and telephony systems according to global blueprint.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products. This includes all related asset inventory and as-is design documentation.
• Plan initiated and execute infrastructure related project such as life-cycle replacement, office relocation and/or expansion and office integration (part of M&A projects) within the region.
• Act as subject matter expert and technical team lead to all Infrastructure Support Specialists in the region and ensure compliance to BT global processes and standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related courses.
• MSCE, CCNA, ITIL (Foundation), Prince2 (Foundation), Microsoft, and Cisco certifications a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in an international environment, with hands-on troubleshooting experience with the proven ability to mentor junior engineers and extensive application support experience with LAN/WAN/WiFi networking protocols and knowledge of IP and routing protocols.
• Proficient in operating systems like MS Intune, Windows Server 2022, and Windows 11, ITIL Foundation, with strong technical knowledge of network and security systems, including Cisco routing, switching, and IP configurations.
• Skilled in Microsoft RDS, Cloud technologies, and current network hardware, protocols, and standards (Intel, Cisco, MPLS), with a solid understanding of organizational goals, data privacy practices, and applicable laws
• Possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical, with the ability to present ideas clearly, prioritize tasks under pressure, deliver excellent customer service, collaborate effectively in team environments, and travel when required.
