The Senior HR Associate plays a pivotal role in performing a wide range of HR functions at a professional level while working closely with the Chief Business Officer. This position is responsible for executing key HR duties in areas such as benefits administration, employee relations, training and development, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and compliance with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions. Lead new employee orientations to ensure a seamless introduction to company policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance and support on a wide range of issues. Address employee concerns, including complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights issues, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate updates to employee files, and manage compensation details such as bonuses, vacation, sick leave, and reimbursements.
- Benefits Administration: Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans. Provide support and resolution for employee benefits-related queries.
- Training and Development: Identify organizational training needs and develop targeted programs to close competency gaps. Organize and conduct training sessions to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems. Collaborate with managers to conduct performance reviews and create performance improvement plans.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local employment laws and regulations. Maintain employee records in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness within the organization. Support the maintenance and communication of the employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart, while contributing to policy updates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of cultural sensitivity and ethical understanding
- Strong problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems, with the ability to quickly learn new systems as required
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office and GSuite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail and a resourceful mindset
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations
