Your Role

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will:

• To lead the design & production team in developing, managing and executing creative designs on assigned projects.
• To work flexibly with Star News Group Australia and Manila staff in the creation of a flexible and responsive client-focused design service.
• To ensure design intent is achieved and deadlines are met
• Collaborate with project/production managers and creative staff in creation of design projects
• Train and mentor other creative staff.
• Provide regular update in standard rules and specifications to ensure production team are aligned.
• Help in building Classified Run, advertorial and editorial pages production, Newspaper Layouts, Ad Traffic and Coordination
• Review and adjust art assets to maintain a high standard of aesthetic quality
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools.
• Create production reports when needed.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• To be totally proficient in the use of pre-press software programs, in particular InDesign.
• Be able to set and/or design advertising using pre-press software.
• Be able to typeset copy.
• Be able to digitally adjust photographs and line art using software programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Must be creative.
• Must be able to work under instruction but be self-motivated.
• College Graduate
• Highly skilled conversing in English (Written and Verbal)
