What will you be doing?

Required

As a Senior Engineer, you will be working across the market sectors and departments as required. In addition, you will also:

• Undertake technical consultancy work as required.
• Develop existing and new technical competencies in alignment with the business needs.
• Oversight and checking of others work in accordance with responsibilities delegated by discipline head.
• Perform day-to-day client management activities with existing clients through established relationships, in conjunction with Product/Sector Leads.
• Support and undertake tendering activities.
• Partake in activities to promote the business and develop new clients.
• Manage assigned projects in terms of safety, quality, schedule and resources.
• Communicate to the Discipline Head the resource needs to deliver assigned projects to quality, cost and schedule.
• Communicate directly with the customer with support from Senior Engineers.
• Undertake project planning, invoicing and cash collection activities.
• With support of the discipline team, identify training requirements for junior engineers to develop team technical competence in accordance with the Company’s needs.
• Develop company training material to develop technical competence in accordance with the Company’s needs.
• Identify own training requirements to maintain continued professional development.
• Support the training and development of engineers within the team
• To represent the interests of all Group companies to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all business activities.
• To comply with current revisions of all internal policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Follow the requirements of the HSEQ management systems.
• Participate in reviews and audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

The position will be based in Cebu, Philippines and you must have the right to live and work in Philippines. Willing to travel to provide support to teams in other locations both within the region and overseas are required.

What are we looking for?

To excel in this position, you will be a highly technical engineer. Additionally, you will bring:

• Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent with significant related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant for the role
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience.
• In depth technical knowledge relevant to the technical role.
• In depth knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards
• Ability to perform hull global strength and fatigue assessments of offshore units independently.
• Ability to select and apply latest standards, guidelines, methods, and techniques to analytical methods.
• Computer literate
• Ability to use analysis tools for hull global strength and fatigue assessments such as ABS Eagle FPSO, DNV Sesam Hull, BV Veristar Hull with FEMAP or equivalent.
• Ability to review and approve structural deliverables (models, reports, drawings)
  
  

Desirable

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a technical subject relevant for the role.
• Full Member of a professional institution.
• Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council or equivalent.
• 7 years’ professional experience
• Previous relevant work experience with classification society, shipyard, engineering consultant or offshore contractor in a similar capacity is an advantage
• Ability to use FEA tools such as SACS, STAAD Pro, ANSYS is an advantage.
