Senior AU Tax Accountant (WFH || Dayshift)

Job Summary:
Henedroit Inc.is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior AU Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Henedroit. This role will be primarily responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting requirements for our Australian operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards (AASBs), taxation regulations, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle accounting process for Australian entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs).
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws, including GST, income tax, and fringe benefits tax (FBT), and assist with the preparation and lodgment of tax returns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits by Australian regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures specific to Australian operations.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Keep abreast of changes in Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification (Philippines or Australia) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a significant portion focused on Australian accounting and taxation.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and Australian taxation laws.
- Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks Online, NetSuite) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Group taxation experience (individual, corporate, trust)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Philippine accounting standards and reporting requirements is an advantage or a plus.
