About The Job
As a vital team member of the Finance team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounts payable process ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships and maintaining accurate financial records.
The AP Accountant Will Be Responsible For
- Review payment requests received.
- Timely and accurate recording of purchases, cash advance and other transactions.
- Prepare and submit list of transactions due for payment on a weekly basis.
- Process payment through online banking, prepare checks and/or letter of instructions and providing proof of payments to requesting parties.
- Preparation and maintenance of AP Aging report
- Identifying areas related to assigned responsibilities where we can have improvement and suggesting appropriate changes or solutions where applicable.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly expanded withholding taxes payable.
- Preparation and maintain list of summary list of sales and purchases.
- Assist in month end closing and audits.
- Other ad-hoc activities.
In This Role, We Are Looking For Someone With
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or financial/accounting role
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable process
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good To Have
- Experience in handling large transaction volumes including preparation of reconciliations.
- Strong work ethics and great time management skills.
- Proactive with good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Extensive experience in account reconciliation.
- Self-motivated and logical with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
