Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage the company’s full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Prepare and review quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST), Corporate Income Tax, and Withholding Tax returns, ensuring full compliance with Singapore laws and tax regulations.
- Review and maintain the General Ledger in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
- Review contracts and invoices to ensure withholding tax compliance and identify legitimate corporate tax optimization opportunities.
- Track and meet all statutory filing deadlines to ensure compliance with IRAS, ACRA, and other relevant authorities.
- Accurately record and process accounting transactions related to core business activities such as game development, operations, and marketing, in line with Singapore accounting standards and the specific nature of internet-based businesses. Proactively identify and resolve accounting or tax issues.
- Manage GST/VAT configurations for platforms such as Apple App Store and Google Play, ensuring compliance with platform requirements and completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) verification processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related disciplines.
- Professional qualifications preferred: Chartered Accountant (Singapore), Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP), IFRS Certification, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of General Ledger accounting experience; experience in the internet or gaming industry is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning, or tax advisory; cross-border taxation experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office; familiarity with online platform accounting and tax configurations preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
