Seed Quality Testing Specialist

Perform specialized quality analyses, prepare test results, and validate test data according to site working instructions and procedures in a timely and accurate manner. Other essential duty as assigned.

Accountabilities

  • Carry out SQT lab activities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare samples for testing
  • Plant germination samples
  • Evaluate seedlings and ensure results are entered accurately
  • Ensure compliance with all site procedures, regulations, and policies.
  • Serve as site resource for one or more specialized SQT areas such as LIMS, purity, logistics, or specialty crop.
  • Communicate all issues, concerns to site leadership.
  • Provide inputs on root-cause analysis, continuous improvement of lab operation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in seed testing
  • Critical Skills:
  • Proficient in conducting germination test with basic knowledge in ISTA procedures
  • Attention to details and follow instructions closely
  • Proficient in operating computers/tablets
  • Working experience in a laboratory setting
  • Knowledge on Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) operation is an advantage
