Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern

Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern to join our team in Mandaluyong. As a SOC Intern, you will work closely with our experienced security professionals to monitor and analyze security events, detect and respond to security incidents, and improve the overall security posture of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist monitoring security alerts and events using various security tools and technologies
• Assist analyzing security events to determine the severity and potential impact of the incident
• Assist in investigating security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
• Collaborate with other members of the security team to develop and implement security controls
• Assist with the development of security policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Participate in security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
• Assist in documenting security incidents and maintain security logs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats
  
  

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a computer science, cybersecurity, or related course
• Strong interest in information security
• Familiarity with security concepts and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and vulnerability scanners
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
