SECURITY OFFICER

Job Overview:
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Guard to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through constant monitoring, regular patrols, and quick responses to any incidents or emergencies. You will be the first line of defense in protecting our property and upholding a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Monitor: Regularly patrol assigned areas (indoors and outdoors) to ensure the safety of buildings, assets, and personnel.
• Surveillance: Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, to detect any unusual or suspicious activity.
• Access Control: Check identification and grant access to authorized personnel, contractors, and visitors while denying entry to unauthorized individuals.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or incidents, and take appropriate action (such as contacting law enforcement, fire department, or medical assistance as necessary).
• Report Writing: Document and report all security incidents, unusual occurrences, or safety hazards, including any damage to property or injuries.
• Enforce Policies: Enforce company policies, procedures, and rules related to security and safety, including safety protocols and parking regulations.
• Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors or employees courteously, providing information and directions when needed.
• Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with emergency evacuation plans and act as a guide during evacuation drills or actual emergencies.
• Maintain Logs: Keep detailed logs of patrols, visitors, and incidents, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Valid security guard license (if applicable in your state/country).
• Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
• Knowledge of security procedures and equipment (CCTV, alarm systems, etc.).
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and possibly lift objects as required by the job.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic first-aid knowledge is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require working outdoors or in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• May be required to work overnight or on holidays, depending on the shift schedule.
